ABOUT FIONA

For as long as I can remember I have always enjoyed sewing and creating things. I quite often get asked where my passion has come from and usually my answer is, from making pretty dresses for my Barbie dolls! I grew up in quite a creative family and much of my early knowledge and inspiration was passed onto me from my grandmother.

This deep rooted love of pretty fabrics and my natural ability to create beautiful dresses led me to study costume design at university, specialising in corsetry, surface embellishment and tailoring. I have spent the past 10 years, since completing my studies, working for luxury lingerie designers and in the bridal industry, cultivating and perfecting my skill down to a tee! Building a reputation for my perfectionism and bespoke bridal alterations, gaining kudos from some of the UK’s top high street bridal brands.

I always knew I wanted to spend my days designing and making wedding dresses, there is nothing more rewarding than using my skills to create stunning, ethereal dresses for people to wear on the most precious and memorable day of their lives. It sounds a little cliche but, there is just such magic that surrounds a wedding and I love the whole process. In early 2018 I got to plan my own wedding and of course make my own dream wedding dress! I’m so proud of what I do and honoured to play such an important role in your wedding journey.

ABOUT FIONA ELIZABETH COUTURE

My passion is designing creative, ethereal, bespoke bridal wear that is a little less traditional. Using beautiful colourful fabrics and unique embellishments, from hand dyed laces to individually made tulle flowers.  Your wedding dress should be an honest reflection of you and your personality. I understand that this often seems impossible with limited options of mostly white or ivory dresses on the high street.

As a Fiona Elizabeth bespoke bride the sky really is the limit! I will make you feel one hundred percent at ease, discussing your ultimate dream dress with me. You won’t be judged or told that something isn’t possible, or your ideas are too silly and untraditional. You will be fully encouraged to be ‘you’.
