I offer a completely bespoke service to create your perfect wedding outfit whether it be a corseted ball gown, bridal separates or a bridal jumpsuit, anything is possible! My passion is creating unique, alternative, colourful designs that truly reflect each individual bride, and of course achieving a perfect fit for maximum comfort on your wedding day.

The bespoke process starts with an initial consultation so that we get to know each other a little better and you can tell me all about your plans and ideas. After our first meeting I will draw up some initial design sketches and source some fabric samples that could be considered for your commission.

A second meeting will take place where designs and fabrics will be discussed in depth, at this stage you will decide if you’d like me to make you your dream dress. A  deposit will be taken to secure your dress.

Once we have officially begun our journey together I will start by creating a toile (a mock dress in cheap fabric) of your chosen design so that I can get a perfect fit and see if any design changes are required. A further toile fitting may be needed, if not, from here we will finalise all fabrics and your dress will be made. We might need a couple more fittings along the way so that everything fits perfectly; on average there may be 3 to 5 fittings in total and one final fitting when your dress is completed. Bespoke designs are difficult to quote for until design and fabrics have been finalised and selected, however, prices start at around £2000 to £3500 upwards. I usually require a minimum of 6-8 months notice, however late commissions can be undertaken so please do get in touch if you have less time than this (note that a surcharge may be added for dresses made with less than 6 months notice).

You may have already found your wedding dress but feel there is something missing or it doesn’t quite feel ‘you’. For example, you’d be happier if your dress had sleeves, maybe a longer train or no train at all? A hint of colour could be all it takes to make your dress 100% perfect! Perhaps you are looking for accessories that complement your dress perfectly? I make bespoke lace jackets, over skirts, beautiful bridal capes and hand finished veils to complete your look.

You may also commission me to create your bespoke outfit for any special occasion. Ball gowns, prom dresses and mother of the bride or groom outfits.

I offer a bridal alteration service to all brides, no matter where you bought your dress. It’s really important that your wedding dress fits you perfectly, to ensure you feel comfortable and confident on your wedding day. Alterations may consist of shortening a delicate lace hem to the perfect length, taking in and letting out your dress or simply adding a bustle to take up the train in the evening so you can dance the night away! Knowing you have a highly skilled, qualified dressmaker altering your wedding dress gives you complete piece of mind that your dress is in the safest of hands.

Where possible I require 8- 12 weeks notice before your wedding to get alterations pinned, bespoke alterations can be done as early as 6-8 months in advance. If full alterations are required i.e. shortening of the hem and body alterations I would recommend to budget around £250. Prices will depend on fabrics and style of your dress.

As a Fiona Elizabeth bespoke bride your dress will always be steamed prior to collection or delivery for your big day, and where possible I always advise that I dress you ready for your wedding so that we both know everything is absolutely perfect. If you’ve had alterations done by me then you can opt to have your dress and bridesmaids dresses steamed by me too, you may also wish to book me to dress you for your wedding so that you can rest assured your dress will be perfectly laced and those tiny buttons done up correctly! Please note that charges may apply for dress delivery, steaming and on the day dressing service.
